저는 미디어아트 시노그래피가 불러내는 크고 작은 장면들을 주로 만듭니다. 마음과 기술이 만나는 지점을 상상하면서, 그동안의 작업에서는 특히 내셔널리즘과 글로벌리즘 사이 어딘가에 놓인 오늘의 세계가 느끼는 보편적 혼란과 어딘가로부터 떠나올 수밖에 없어 생긴 나의 중간자적, 이방인적 갈망을 병치해오며 이동, 이방인성, 환대, 그리고 표류성을 중심 주제로 탐구해왔습니다. 


최근에는 십수 년간 베니스의 방문을 통해 느꼈던 여행과 관광의 흥미로운 대치 구도에 주목하면서

알고리즘화된 여행과 관광 환경 속에서 어떻게 인간적 표류와 우연-즉흥을 회복하고, 이것이 타자를 향한 새로운 이해나 소통, 환대의 계기까지 이어질 수 있는지, 그리고 길 잃기 위해 떠나는 마음과 불완전한 도착의 경험에 대해서 탐구하고 있습니다.



I create scenes through media art scenography—sometimes intimate, sometimes expansive—where emotion and technology encounter one another.

My work moves through forms of disorientation: between nationalism and globalism, departure and belonging, travel and tourism. Shaped by years of returning to Venice, I approach these tensions not as fixed oppositions but as unstable territories where strangerhood, desire, and movement intersect.

Through interdisciplinary and media-based practices, I explore light affinities, accidental proximities, and the quiet agency of chance.

I currently lead media art scenography for the interdisciplinary collective MJMK and work as a resident media artist with CSC (Contemporary Sound Crew).
